it’s been a loooong time since i’ve done one of these posts. honestly, i’ve been slacking in general this summer about posting. not only is it full blown wedding season, but with us moving into a new house and all of the work it entails, along with everything else life throws at you, i have been one busy bee.

i always find it kinda hard to talk about and share personal stuff. i thought long and hard about mentioning this, but really feel i need to. as some of you may know, about a month or so ago, my mom had a heart attack. she spent a few weeks in ICU, and it was extremely scary to have to go through.  especially because a few years ago, we lost my grandpa (my mom’s dad) to a heart attack. he was perfectly fine one minute, and gone the next. he was the core of our family, and everyone absolutely adored him. it was an extremely difficult time. so needless to say, we were all pretty nervous when my mom went into the hospital. not only had she suffered a heart attack, but she also experienced kidney failure. i spent a lot of time with her while she was there, even though she was pretty out of it the whole time, she kept telling my sisters and i to please not leave her. it was heartbreaking to see her so fragile and scared. thankfully, she is doing amazing. i, on the other hand, got so behind on my work it’s not even funny. i’ve been busting my tail to get caught up on everything while still trying to keep my sanity. (you can only spend so many hours in front of a computer a day before you start to go crazy!) so i just wanted to let you guys know what is going on in my life at the moment. i also can’t say thank you enough to everyone that has been so understanding about me getting some things out late to people. i am fiiiiinally almost completely caught up! yay! thank you all for being absolutely amazing clients and friends.

now that we got all that out of the way! josh + i have been busting our butts on our house and have gotten so much stuff done! i can’t wait to post some photos of it, now that it’s (mostly) decorated. we still have lots of projects to do, but am proud of everything we’ve accomplished so far. i have tons of photos of diy projects that we’ve done that i want to share with you guys soon too, so hopefully i’ll get a chance to get those up sometime in the near future!

i know i’ve been saying forever that our new site is going to be up soon, but i’ve def been slacking on it. i’m hoping that once i get completely caught up, i’ll be able to put the finishing touches on it and get it finally up and going! it’s so close to being done!

so i’m a total reality tv junkie. (josh tries to pretend like he hates it, but he still watches it all with me). the newest show that i’ve become sucked into is “American Colony: Meet the Hutterites” on the National Geographic Channel. if you haven’t seen it yet, you should. i’m in love with bertha on the show, i just want to squeeze her and hug her. i may be a little biased, bertha happens to be my grandma’s name so maybe that’s why i like her so much, but she is just the cutest lady.
