elopement : jessica + jesse

when jessica first emailed me about shooting her and jesse’s elopement, i was so excited. there’s just something so romantic about stripping away everything else and just focusing on the love that you share. i feel like people sometimes get lost when planning a wedding and sometimes forget what it really is all about. and that the purpose is to vow to your partner, in front of a group of your closest friends and family whom you love and who love you, that you will spend the rest of your lives together. that you are all their to celebrate this huge commitment that you are about to make.
thank you jessica and jesse, as well as the rest of your families, for allowing me to be one of those people. thank you for allowing me to be there to witness your wedding day. i truly feel honored.
jessica + jesse started with brunch at thier home, grabbed some starbucks before heading downtown.  went to the courthouse to marry, then follwed up with a late lunch at nada. she wore her grandmother’s (redesigned) wedding dress that was once worn by her own mother, as well as her aunts. her sister made their cake. this is their wedding story.
